On the 28th of September till the 1st of October the Outback will be holding their annual training camp in Canberra. This will be the first time the Outback will be together as a team after competing at the 2011 World Championships in Austria.
After all 6 States have tested their players the Outback coaching staff will select the players for the “train on squad”, as well as the players who will be invited to the AIS camp.
The AIS camp will be the official start of a long road ahead aiming towards the 2015 IFAF World Championships to be held in Sweden.
This will be the second visit of the Outback to the AIS, last year the team spent 7 days at the AIS directly before flying over to Austria.
The Australian Institute of Sport is Australia’s premier sports complex and Gridiron Australia and the Outback are thrilled about their facilities, it gives the players and coaching staff the best preparation possible.
